If you wish to contribute through a donation, we kindly request a minimum donation of 50 euros. Donations below this threshold tend to incur relatively more administrative costs than they benefit our research. We hope for your understanding. Our goal at the Refreeze the Arctic Foundation is to minimize expenditure on administrative and operational activities. Instead, we allocate your donations directly to MCB research.
We would also like to clarify that by donating to the RAF, you are acknowledging and accepting the following:
- Restitution of your donation is not possible.
- Your donation is intended for achieving the objectives outlined in the RAF's articles of association.
- You need to be 18 years or older and have the authority to use the funds with which you're making this donation.
- Your donation does not grant you any rights, except that if your donation exceeds XXX Euros, you have the right to have your name included in the RAF register of donors, unless you have informed us in writing in advance that you do not wish to have your name recorded.

Every donation brings us closer to buying precious time.
Benefit of donating to the RAF
As explained (“Who we are”) the RAF has an ANBI status which makes it possible under certain conditions to donate and deduct the donation from taxes. Some other foundations and (university) funds also have this status. The RAF has as additional benefit that we work in close cooperation with the universities that participate in the consortium with the RAF. This provides the Foundation the opportunity to influence to a certain degree how your donation will be spent for research done by these universities. The RAF further will be able to monitor progress made by these universities.
Other ways to support the RAF and to cool the planet
Furthermore, we're actively working on making RAF merchandise available for purchase. Soon, you'll have the opportunity to buy RAF-branded apparel, including t-shirts, hoodies, and hats, which not only supports our foundation but also raises awareness about our cause.
